Trust me, I’m the Doctor.

A highly trained researcher investigating biological drugs and antibody based therapies for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons disease at Uppsala University.

The focus of my current research is to modify therapeutic antibodies so that they can pass over the blood brain barrier and reach their dementia target.

As postdoc in the Wood group at University of Oxford I was researching novel therapies for neuromuscular diseases. During my PhD at the Karolinska Institute I have worked to optimize nonviral gene transfer, with special focus on optimization and on delivery to muscle.

I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of preclinical analysis methods such as DNA cloning, and analysing transfection efficiency, RNA and protein levels in tissue culture and in vivo. During my PhD, I have published several first author papers and supervised master-students. I have become a thorough and persistent researcher with excellent organization skills.

Before my time at the Karolinska Institute, I acquired a M.Sc. in Molecular Biotechnology at the Uppsala University.
